CONCRETE CUTTING & CORING
Graff can provide flat sawing services with great efficiency. We can cut thousands of feet of asphalt in a single day. Our flat sawing services are commonly used to cut floors, bridge decks, and pavement. Our expert operators are work quickly and safely to get the job done right.
We use wall sawing machines to make vertical and horizontal cuts, making for a great solution when it comes to cutting windows, doors, and other similar openings.
Wire sawing is an efficient way to cut concrete and can be used with great precision in instances where large or unwieldy concrete structures must be cut. Graff has experience using wire saws to cut concrete and cut and shape concrete to the desired specifications.
Hand sawing is the ideal cutting method for smaller, more intricate jobs. Hand sawing is versatile and can be used for carving beam pockets, for precision trimming, and much more.
Concrete core drilling is an important step with any concrete structure. Core drilling is used to remove a cylindrical material, or concrete core sample. Concrete coring can be used with walls, floor slabs, ceilings, and more.
TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
Concrete scanning is a great tool that allows us to identify subsurface features embedded within concrete—so when it comes time to cut, core, or break concrete you can be sure that work is done safely.
Digital X-ray imaging enables us to produce a clear picture of features embedded within concrete. From rebar to post tension cables, Graff can identify features and potential hazards that lie below the surface.
Our private utility locating services can detect subsurface features ranging from gas lines and power lines to underground storage tanks. Private utility locating helps you avoid striking objects beneath the surface.
Fiber-reinforced polymer, or FRP, is an advanced composite material capable of strengthening concrete structures. FRP is a corrosion resistant material that can help structures handle significant loads, making it a very versatile solution. Graff is a certified FRP applicator.
HIGHWAY SERVICES
Our diamond grinding services offer a great way to remove road imperfections. The result is a smooth surface that improves skid resistance, creates the ideal texture, and reduces noise. Diamond grinding is the ideal pavement rehabilitation service.
We use diamond grooving to improve pavement traction, in turn helping to reduce highway accidents. We can cut patterned grooves into the concrete deck which allows water to drain properly. Our diamond-tipped grooving blades work exceptionally well for this purpose.
Like diamond grooving a typical roadway, bridge deck grooving is used to create a surface that is safer for cars to traverse. Bridge deck grooving improves the deck’s water drainage ability and increases friction.
Rumble strips are a cost-effective roadway safety measure. At Graff, we use quality equipment to cut continuous shoulder rumble strips, centerline rumble strips, and transverse rumble strips. We can cut these into concrete and asphalt. Graff is proud that we can help increase the safety of our highways and streets.
SAFETY
Stop Work Authority is a practice engrained in the culture at Graff. Our staff know and are encouraged to speak out in situations that are potentially dangerous. We expect all employees to stop working if they feel that it cannot be completed safely.
Graff expects every employee to speak up to intervene if conditions are unsafe. We put safety first, and our entire staff knows that!
Many incidents are caused by unsafe behavior. Our behavior-based observation programs allow us to identify these behaviors that lead to accidents and intervene with in-person training where required.
At Graff, we plan ahead and perform a safety hazard assessment before the work begins.
